Benchrest Precision .22LR Rimfire Shooting

Our mission is to introduce the shooting sport of precision .22 LR rimfire rifle benchrest to HRC members of all ages and experience in a fun, challenging, and exciting way. We aim to hone skills as precision rifle shooters in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere where members can choose their level of involvement—whether to build personal precision shooting skills or compete for points and end-of-year award recognition.

There are several ways to enjoy shooting with HRC’s precision benchrest group. You can shoot at the 50 yd range or the 100 yd range – or both! You can shoot targets with the group to have a fun morning out with the benchrest group - no matter your level or experience - or add to your general knowledge and skills by participating in our Benchrest Recognition Award Competition.

Even benchrest beginners can participate in this friendly competition. NEW for 2025 is a reorganization featuring three designated competition classes at the 50 yd range: The Factory Class,” “The Modified Factory Class,” and “The Unlimited Class.” There is one designated competition class at the 100 yd range: “The 100-Yard Open Class.” Casual Shooters can shoot at either the 50 or 100 yd ranges. Each competition class will have its own recognition. Perhaps your name will be added to our club’s Recognition Awards on display inside the clubhouse!

You can choose to be involved in more than one program. Currently, there are two shooting lines, and you can participate in both (in different programs). Targets will be available for benchrest shooters at each event for a nominal fee.
