Our mission is to introduce the shooting sport of precision rimfire rifle benchrest to HRC members of all ages and experience in a fun, challenging, and exciting way - to hone skills as a precision rifle shooter in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere where members choose their involvement level – whether it is to build personal precision shooting skills or to compete for points and end of year award recognition.
There are several ways to enjoy shooting with HRC’s benchrest group. You can shoot at the 50 yd range or the 100 yd range – or both! You can shoot targets with the group to have a fun morning out with the benchrest group - no matter your level or experience - or you can add to your general knowledge and skills by participating in our Benchrest Recognition Award Competition.
Even benchrest beginners can be part of this friendly competition. NEW for 2024 is reorganization with three designated Classes at the 50 yd range: “The Casual Shooter, “Fun With Precision” and “Unlimited” Classes. Each will have their own recognition. Perhaps your name will be added to our club’s Recognition Awards on display inside the clubhouse! You may choose to be involved with one or two of the 3 programs. There will be targets available for benchrest shooters at each match for a nominal fee. |
Program 1: The Casual Shooter Class to shoot for fun and sport with your .22 rimfire rifle without participating in a competition at the 50 yd and 100 yd ranges. All .22 caliber rimfire rifles welcome except custom rifles and rifles produced from manufacturers who specialize in custom precision rifles. | Program 3: Unlimited Class competes in the 50 yd and/or 100 yd range matches.
