This course teaches the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude for owning and operating a pistol safely. This course is at least 8-hours long and includes classroom and range time learning to shoot handguns. The class runs from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm., please arrive 20 minutes early to register. Students will receive the NRA handbook for the Basic Pistol Shooting Course. A NRA Basic Pistol Shooting Certificate (required in Connecticut), and a Commonwealth of Massachusetts Basic Firearms Safety Certificate (required in Massachusetts) will be awarded upon successful completion of this course. This course meets all the requirements for getting an LTC Class A large capacity license for Massachusetts and Connecticut.
The course has limited enrollment and classes fill up fast – each class is limited to 20 applicants. The cost of the course is $100.00. Advanced, full-payment is required to reserve a seat in class.

Due to limited enrollment payment is non-refundable. Rescheduling will be allowed for the next available class only if the cancellation is made a minimum of four (4) days before the class so that the reserved seat can be filled. Cancellation on the day of the class is considered a ‘no show’.

What to Bring:
Not required but it’s a good idea to bring/wear: a baseball hat, long sleeve shirt, pen and notebook. While hearing and eye protection are provided you might want to consider purchasing your own eye protection and a set of electronic impact shooting hearing protection earmuffs.
